Although I'm not that sure about chronology, I guess I can trace back my beginning as a playwriter to my family inducing me to recreate two of Shakespeare's plays: Romeo and Juliet, and Hamlet (Kill Them All!)
I was already a songwriter when my relatives were reunited, I was told my cousin of the same age was coming around and should create a play for us to stage together, "a romantic story!", which led to a song in Portuguese language.
I played Juliet and also created two more songs for the play; one with lyrics, in English, and another only instrumental, which, I think, must be the same song I love in a film about this story.
